On arrival your guide provide you with the extreme weather clothing; a thermal suit, hat, boots and mitts. Depending on your time of arrival, you can then enjoy a light evening meal, snack or a welcoming drink. After settling in there may even be time for you to explore the resort prior to going off to bed.
Day 2: Friday
You will wake up in the middle of a wonderful snowy landscape before enjoying a pleasant Scandinavian breakfast in your apartment as you see the low winter sun slowly rise over the woods. Our guide arrives with the snow-machines practically at your Doorstep to take you away for an exciting full day Snow-mobile Safari. The trip takes you over bogs, mountains, frozen lakes and through the silent snow-clad woods. You will take a break in a Snow-mobiler’s cabin where you can rest and enjoy a pleasant wildlife lunch by the open fire. On your return you will see the sun set, with a bit of luck you will have been able to take a few photos during your trip of reindeer, moose and local wildlife.
You will return to your apartment in the late afternoon and there will be time for you to take a sauna and relax before you visit the restaurant for dinner. On Fridays there is always a Scandinavian buffet which offers a wonderful array of Swedish and international dishes, sometimes the evening has a special theme and the Pub stays open as long as people hang around.
Day 3: Saturday
After breakfast it is time venture out on foot and take a snow-shoe walk to a nearby tarn where our guide will provide you with some tackle and teach you how to ice fish for Arctic Char, your guide will be happy to prepare the catch as a truly delicious lunch, (if you don’t eat fish and prefer to visit the restaurant then he will be pleased to oblige).
After lunch it is time for another wonderful experience, it is time to meet the amazing Huskies prior to taking a Dog-sleigh trip! Our mushing man will arrive with his dogs and will then take you on a silent tour through the deep woods and hidden lakes. During your trip you have yet another opportunity to look out for the local wildlife, as this area is an excellent hunting ground for moose and also as a popular winter grazing site for the rein-deer of the native Sami. For a supplementary payment it can be arranged that you or members of your party to learn the basics and try to drive a husky sleigh, naturally under the watchful eye of your leader.
